What I Do During Holiday Break

In the previous post I mentioned we take a six-week holiday break. Although teaching and schoolwork stop during that time, I sort of do a regroup and see what needs to be improved upon in our homeschooling. This time I was looking for a new history curriculum because we are done with the American History Curricula. I needed a world history curriculum that would pull everything together.

I am pleased to report, I have found that curriculum. It is called  The Mystery of HistoryAs homeschooling Moms, we talk to other homeschooling Moms. My kids have a homeschool P.E. class they attend once a week. I saw one of the other moms looking over a history book and I just asked her about it. It seemed like the perfect world history curriculum. So, I pulled it up on the internet. The more I delved into it, the more I liked it. It takes Biblical history and puts it in chronological order with secular history. It is an all-encompassing curriculum. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

I showed it to my kids and they believed they would like it too. I can’t wait. No, it doesn’t take much to excite me when it comes to homeschooling. What is even more exciting is the fact that I get to play around with it before I start teaching it. That is the funnest part for me 🙂

Until we meet again,
